At St. Michael and All Angels, Aston Clinton
we welcome enquiries about weddings.

Why get married in Church?

A marriage service, wherever it is held is a public declaration of love and commitment to your partner.  If you choose to get married in church, there is an added dimension – the assurance that God cares about your relationship and that his resources and strength are available to help you.

So can I get married at St. Michael’s?
If you would like to, we will do everything we can to enable you to get married in this church.

Here’s how it works:

You have a legal right to marry in a Church of England parish church where you or your fiancé(e) lives.

If at least one of you hasn’t lived in the Parish of Aston Clinton for at least six months you will need to demonstrate a connection with the church. That means that at least one of the following applies to at least one of you :

  • was baptised at St. Michael’s
  • has attended worship in the church for at least six months
  • has a parent or a grandparent who has a connection with the parish

Even if you can’t demonstrate any of the connections above,
we’ll help you explore whether it is possible for you to be married
at St. Michael’s – see contact details below.

What will it cost?

For 2020 the fee is £500.00 which includes the minister, service, banns, verger, lighting, heating and administration.

The optional extras are:
  • Organist £75.00
  • Choir £150,
  • Bells £150
