Christingle 2010

Christingle

Christingle is the service we have each year on the Sunday nearest to Candlemas.  Children are given a Christingle to represent all God’s good gifts to the world.  Donations are made in aid of The Children’s Society.

This year's Christingle at St Michael's has been a great success. A large number of Brownies, Guides Beavers, Cubs and Scouts as well as parents and other children came.

David Ibbeson made a good bishop for the afternoon and everybody enjoyed the refreshments at the end.

£343 was raised for the Children's Society. Thank you all for contributing.

In order to give to the Children’s Society during the rest of the year many people have a “house box” where they deposit loose change.  These have just been collected and counted and we are most grateful for your generosity.  If you would like to have a house box please contact Ralph Weston on 01296 630456.
