At present there are some 18 members of the St. Michael’s Choir, including 4 juniors. It is a fully robed choir and is strong on maintaining good, traditional chorister practice. It is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music and follows the School’s Voice for Life Training Scheme.
The Choir sings the full range of services including Full Choral Evensong and Sung Eucharist. Special services such as Advent Carols, Nine Lessons and Carols feature strongly in the annual programme.
Some of the Choir belong to the RSCM Voices and have gained considerable experience singing at various cathedrals around the country. This invaluable experience is then brought back to enhance the singing and worship in the Church.
How to Join
Membership of the Choir is by brief audition and, although thriving, we always warmly welcome new members.
